The exploration
toolbox
A problem definition and strategic direction tool that sets up strategy before anyone writes a deck. It runs on one engine, its boxes feed each other's inputs, and it ends in a decision the client has to make — a reframed question. Start with how it works, watch the Kindling case run, or open the app prototype.
What every player in the category does, and what story each one is telling with it. The two layers get crossed and every white space comes out typed: open, false, or a reframe. Ends in a verdict and a question.
Human tensions mined from live signal and rooted to the older pattern they repeat. A tension only ships if both sides hold a defensible want — one-sided tensions are judgments, and the gate rejects them.
The situation goes in — where the brand is, where it needs to go, the problem in the client's own words. Readings that can't survive the evidence get killed, with reasons on the record; two or three rival readings come out, built on the verdicts and tensions the exploration tools shipped. The run leaves the room as a strategy presentation: situation, struggle, shift, the problem worth solving, next steps.
The reframe made real: the fictional challenger given its own brand — logo, warm identity, and the app screens. Proof that a run ends in a product, not a slide.
The tool itself as a working product: dashboard, a run mid-flight across the six boxes, the reframe as output. Clickable prototype.
What the machine hands a creative agency: a liturgy for Coors Light built from the thermochromic can, ported from the Spirits Atlas run. Ends in a platform, costed.
Case of the Mondays, made weekly: the agency's own equity extended from campaign to calendar, with the Monday-only SKU as the commercial spine.
The question feeds the tools already in production:
